Zaratán offers a stay in the historic center of Sirolo, surrounded by the peaceful pedestrian streets. The atmosphere is that of conversations with friends and neighbors, accompanied by the play of children running through the typical streets, among the beautiful historic houses. The hospitality is simple and welcoming, with three double rooms (one of which is a triple) and a private bathroom, and a breakfast of fresh products, mainly local and organic.
Breakfast is the most important aspect of a true bed and breakfast for us. We prepare it with organic, locally sourced (both organic and non-organic depending on availability and sourcing) and homemade ingredients. We serve it in a quiet, pedestrian courtyard, avoiding the use of single-use products and limiting the use of packaged and mass-distributed food products both because of their inferior quality and because we prefer to support local agriculture and economy. Breakfast includes homemade yogurt with lactic ferment and long-life organic milk, fresh seasonal fruit (when possible, local and organic), organic muesli, homemade or locally sourced pastries (cakes, maritozzi, brioches), fresh organic milk, Indian, Chinese and fair trade teas (which we like to select), toasted organic barley from the Marche region, fair trade coffee. Fresh local or homemade bread with sourdough and local organic flour. Homemade jams, organic butter.
