Malga Peziè de Parù

In a charming and lush green expanse between the Giau pass and Cortina d'Ampezzo lies Malga Peziè de Parù, a welcoming restaurant and bed and breakfast that is easily accessible. Its cuisine draws inspiration from the original recipes of the Ampezzo tradition, and its tastefully furnished rooms are filled with the scents of the surrounding woods.

The Malga Peziè de Parù refuge is located about five kilometers from the center of Cortina d'Ampezzo, in a vast high-altitude meadow.

Surrounding it like a crown are mountains famous worldwide: Tofana, 5 Torri, Antelao, Sorapis, and Cristallo.

It is at the center of a dense network of hiking trails and mountain biking routes that lead to refuges, lakes, World War museums, climbing gyms, and the Dolomiti d'Ampezzo Nature Park.

In winter, there are routes for ski mountaineering and snowshoeing.

Its strengths include a spacious terrace, a well-kept lawn where you can sunbathe on loungers, a large meadow with cows, and, finally, a small stream that brings joy to children, who can play safely in this magical place.

With the arrival of evening, everything transforms. When the shadows descend and the surrounding peaks turn red, peace takes hold of the place, and only the tinkling of cowbells breaks the unreal silence.

What was once the home of shepherds has now become a modern refuge with elegant rooms and all the comforts.

The refuge has been recently renovated and offers three charming double rooms in mountain style, each with a private bathroom and satellite TV. Their names evoke the peaks that surround the refuge: Tofana, Croda da Lago, Sorapiss, all with breathtaking views!
The cuisine, anchored to original mountain recipes, is guaranteed by the chef, a true local from Ampezzo who prepares traditional dishes such as casunziei, canederli, and barley soup.

The grappas with ginger, cumin, blueberries, and mountain herbs are highly appreciated: let Fabiano, the refuge manager and expert bartender, advise you. He is always happy to suggest food and wine pairings or delicious after-dinner drinks. The refuge also offers an excellent snack bar service.
