Hidden in the heart of Avendita, a charming village strategically located a short distance from the historic cities of Cascia and Norcia, stands the Baldassari Farmhouse. This rural retreat is the result of a centuries-old family tradition, carried on with passion by the Baldassari family, who have always embraced organic farming practices to ensure high-quality products, in full respect of the environment.
The management of the farmhouse is entrusted to Loris and Katia Baldassari, assisted by their four children: Mirko, Jessica, Sara, and Mattia. Each member of the family contributes with dedication to offer warm and pleasant hospitality, making each stay a unique and unforgettable experience.
The agricultural activity focuses mainly on the breeding of lambs and poultry, as well as the cultivation of a variety of cereals and legumes, such as spelt, wheat, lentils, chickpeas, and others, all grown without the use of chemicals or artificial fertilizers. The production also includes jams, saffron, and truffles, and depending on the season, fresh vegetables from our garden, whose organoleptic qualities are unparalleled.
The products from our farm are not only used in the preparation of restaurant dishes but are also carefully processed and packaged to reach your tables. Our menu is based on the concept of "zero-kilometer," with fresh ingredients such as cured meats, pasta, legumes, and homemade desserts made with internally produced flours. We also collaborate with local producers to provide oil, wine, and other excellent products, ensuring an authentic and high-quality gastronomic offering.
The Restaurant and Pizzeria of Agriturismo Baldassari welcomes not only guests staying at the farm but also external visitors, offering a spacious room perfect for hosting events, ceremonies, and conferences. At the heart of the gastronomic experience is the Baldassari tasting, a tribute to the flavors of Umbrian tradition, which allows you to explore the art of pork butchery through a selection of cured meats, both natural and cooked in more elaborate dishes.
The menu is enriched with cheeses, both fresh and aged, from local shepherds and paired with homemade jams, using fruits grown directly on the farm. There are also dishes based on spelt, lentils, and other legumes cultivated in the surrounding lands, as well as delicacies with truffles, a must for every gourmet.
The pizzeria stands out for its long leavened pizzas, which are exceptionally crispy and light, thanks to careful selection of ingredients and preparation methods.
