B&B Valledium
The Valledium B&B is located a short distance from the center of Borghetto, just a few steps away. It is situated 700 meters from the wonderful Sigurtà Garden Park and a short distance from the charming Lake Garda. This privileged location offers convenient proximity to the main attractions while maintaining a tranquility far from the city hustle and bustle.
Our property is an old country house dating back to my grandfather's time, around 1947. Originally, it was a typical rural dwelling with an attached stable and porch. Over the years, the house has been expanded with an upper floor used as a residence, while the lower floor has retained its original purpose, with the addition of a small cellar. In the 1960s, a small dwelling was created for my father, Lino, and it is where I was born. Later, in the 1980s, a more significant renovation was carried out, during which the porch, stable, and cellar were removed to create a larger living space. The house came to life and was filled with color, but unfortunately, with the passing of my father, it was gradually neglected. It remained this way until recent times when, together with Claudia, my daughter Giulia, and all the friends who believed in us, we decided to create something that could bring this wonderful place back to life.
And so, the Valledium B&B was born, an enchanting refuge where one can isolate oneself, immerse in a suggestive atmosphere, and indulge in the pleasure of self-discovery. Spending a few days here means experiencing complete relaxation, pampered and spoiled in a magical place.

The story of Borghetto tells of a crucial transit point and a disputed border area by opposing armies.
The landscape remains motionless, eternal, timeless, and takes us back to our origins, to our sources, as in every river myth where water and dreams intertwine.
Taking a walk in Borghetto in the evening to admire a sunset on the Mincio, or when the fog blurs the outlines of the houses, revealing only the Ghibelline battlements, is like immersing oneself in an imaginary Middle Ages.
Borghetto is simply a cluster of houses, an ancient village of mills in perfect symbiosis with its river. A river idyll, with three ancient mills seemingly emerging from the water.
The Visconteo Bridge, an extraordinary fortified dam, built in 1393 by order of Gian Galeazzo Visconti, has been defined as an "ancient regime check-point".
Stretching 650 meters long and 25 meters wide, completed in 1395, it was connected to the overlying Scaliger Castle by two high crenelated walls and was part of a fortified complex that extended for about 16 km.
The Scaliger Castle still dominates the Mincio Valley with its towers from the top of the hill.
Of its oldest part, the Round Tower remains, a unique construction dating back to the 12th century, while the rest of the complex dates back to the 14th century.
It was equipped with three drawbridges, of which only one has been preserved.
Finally, within the village, the Church of San Marco Evangelista is a neoclassical reconstruction from 1759 of the ancient Romanesque parish dedicated to Santa Maria of the 11th century, of which two valuable frescoes from the 15th century remain.
