Spagna Ave
Guesthouse in Roma in the Piazza Di Spagna
The structure is located on Via Dei Due Macelli, a street that is part of the ancient "Via Paolina," so named because it was desired by Paolo III Farnese. Later, the name was changed to Via dei Due Macelli due to two meat shops (one of which belonged to Duke Mattei) that were located here, where meat was cut and sold until Pope Leo XII built the slaughterhouse outside Porta del Popolo in 1825.
Originally a straight extension of Via del Babuino, this street connects Piazza di Spagna to Largo del Tritone and is dominated halfway by the back of the imposing building of the Collegio di Propaganda Fide.
All the rooms in this family-run structure are equipped with frescoed ceilings, TV, and a safe. During your stay, you can enjoy breakfast at affiliated establishments located a few meters from the structure.
As guests of the structure, you will have access to a shuttle service upon request that connects the Spagna Ave bed & breakfast to the Rome Fiumicino and Ciampino airports.

The establishment is located just 30 meters from the Salone Margherita, a fascinating place that opened its doors in 1887 under the name "Teatro delle Varietà " and later renamed "Salone". This magical place was managed by Igino and Carlo Marino, and then passed into the hands of the Marino family from Naples, with Renato Marino at the helm. Initially, the theater was lit by a wonderful light coming from a skylight and featured a small stage surrounded by tables to enjoy a snack during the show. In the early years of the 20th century, the Salone Margherita transformed into the most magnificent theater in the capital, experiencing moments of great success, especially during the belle époque. It was renowned for its aristocratic atmosphere, beautiful stucco work, golden details, and mirrors that adorned the theater, the boxes, the gallery, and the stalls with comfortable red velvet armchairs. Renowned artists such as Donnarumma, Gino Franzi, Pasquariello, Petrolini, Milly, Maldacea, and many others performed on this stage. The Salone Margherita was famous as a variety theater and café chantant until the last war, when it embraced the genre of revue. In 1972, "Il Bagaglino" took possession of this enchanting place, continuing to offer highly successful performances to this day.
