Area city center

Located in the central area of Giovinazzo, a charming medieval village on the Adriatic coast, between Molfetta and Bari, less than 20 km away, the B&B Porto di Mare is just a short distance from the lovely historic center with its characteristic harbor and wonderful fortified promenade. The Arch of Trajan is the elegant gateway to the historic center, where you can find the Palace of the Marquis of Rende, the 16th-century Saracen Palace, which houses the Town Hall, the Church of San Domenico, featuring Lorenzo Lotto's painting of Saint Dominic in the Chair, and the Church of the Holy Spirit with its "trullo" domes. The magnificent Triton Fountain dominates Vittorio Emanuele II Square, the heart of city life along with Constantinople Square. By crossing the arches of Via Cattedrale, you can reach the Romanesque Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, which houses the Byzantine icon of the Madonna of Corsignano, the Holy Patron celebrated throughout the entire month of August. The waterfront offers clean beaches and comes to life in the evening with bars and restaurants. In the coastal Murgia area, not far from the town center, you can find the dolmen of San Silvestro.
