B&B vacation home in Piedmont, in the enchanting scenario of the Langhe. Silence and tranquility, untouched nature and surprising encounters, an infinite starry sky to get lost in: this is the context in which you will find the Poggio delle Ginestre bed & breakfast. The B&B is located on the hills of Alta Langa in Pezzolo Valle Uzzone. The Poggio delle Ginestre bed & breakfast is located in Gorrino, an ancient fortified village with a medieval castle and structures from the 15th century still evident, overlooking even older ones, and the 17th-century church of San Pietro. Gorrino is perched on top of a hill 700 meters above sea level, offering extraordinary and evocative landscapes that change with the hours and seasons. The B&B, surrounded by typical dry stone terraces, is kissed by the sun from sunrise to sunset and is often caressed by the sea breeze. Gorrino entered my life when I was only ten years old and has been an integral part of it ever since. I have spent many of my summer vacations here and more. Here, I learned to appreciate nature and understand its evolutions. I rediscovered the natural flow of time, marked by the sound of bells and the sunlight. I decided to create the B&B to give others the opportunity to enjoy such a special place, where they can rediscover the true dimension of life. The structure used to be an ancient stone stable, surrounded by a garden with medicinal herbs, an orchard, and an organic vegetable garden. The recent renovation was carried out respecting the local style and using biocompatible materials (wood, stone, natural paints). Great care is dedicated to preparing breakfasts with products from our orchard. I renovated the ancient stable from 1898 with love and attention, respecting the local style and the environment, trying to enhance its existing structure and using natural products. The structure is spread over two floors, offering guests two rooms, each with a private bathroom. The rooms, carefully furnished with family furniture, are bright and comfortable, with large windows overlooking the surrounding natural landscape. It is also possible to relax on the sun terrace. In the reading room, guests can also enjoy a piano. Rich breakfasts, prepared with local and homemade products, are served, weather permitting, on the panoramic terrace. A hairdryer, a washing machine, bed linen, towels, an iron, Wi-Fi internet connection, and TV in the common room are available. Additionally, mountain bikes and occasional ceramics and DIY courses are available for guests. Your four-legged friends are welcome! There is also the possibility to experience the StarsBox: inspired by the temporary shelters of the shepherds of the Ligurian Alps, it modernizes their forms and functions. It proposes itself as a symbol of a new way to enjoy nature, lighter and more aware, thanks to the evocative power of a unique experience. A small tent and a small cabin offer protection but can open up to the sky to show the most aesthetic aspects that nature has to offer.
