Podere Il Pero is located at the beginning of a beautiful green area, just a short walk from the historic center of Siena: Piazza del Campo and the Duomo can also be reached on foot (approximately 20 minutes). The city center can be reached by car (thanks to the nearby Santa Caterina parking lot) or by small buses that run every 15 minutes; the bus stop is about 250 meters away, as well as the bank, some shops, and restaurants. The bus station is about 2 km away and is not far from the train station. The Policlinico can be reached in less than 10 minutes by car. Continuing along the Montalbuccio road, where the bed and breakfast is located, you can reach the Belcaro Castle, the Lecceto Hermitage, and the S. Leonardo al Lago Hermitage in about 5 minutes. These are interesting historical and artistic destinations, ideal for moments of peace and relaxation. By taking the nearby ring road, you can reach Florence (65 km) and all the famous places for their beauty to the north, such as San Gimignano (35 minutes by car), Monteriggioni (15 minutes), Colle di Val d'Elsa (20 minutes), Certaldo (40 minutes), Volterra (just over 1 hour); and to the south, Arezzo (1 hour), Rome (2 and a half hours), and the sea (1 and a half hours). Alternatively, by taking the Cassia road, you can explore the Val d'Arbia, Montalcino (40 minutes), and the Val d'Orcia (Pienza, S. Quirico d'Orcia, Bagno Vignoni, etc.) in about 45 minutes. Through the S.S. 222 Chiantigiana, you can reach the Chianti area (Castellina in Chianti, Greve in Chianti, Radda in Chianti, Gaiole in Chianti, Castelnuovo Berardenga, etc.) in just 30/45 minutes. In about 20 minutes, it is easy to reach the suggestive and panoramic area of the Crete Senesi.
