We are in Val di Lima, just a few minutes from the city of Lucca, an area that boasts beautiful natural destinations, as well as the nearby Garfagnana, a small and green historic and geographic region, and the Serchio valley. These two valleys make up a large, unique, and suggestive area with some of the most interesting features in Europe, both for those who love mountains, greenery, nature, culture, history, care, and well-being, and for those who prefer so-called active holidays and experiences during vacations or weekends, all year round. In Val di Lima, the beautiful "Acqua Park" deserves a mention, while in Garfagnana, there are various adventure parks, stunning trails for walking and trekking, mountain biking or horseback riding excursions. Moreover, birdwatching and more or less challenging sports can be practiced, including rafting, canoeing/kayaking in waters or torrents, as well as alpine and cross-country skiing in nearby winter sports resorts. Alternatively, one can rock climb or get into paragliding, caving, and free climbing. For those who prefer a more peaceful vacation, easy excursions can be taken in various hamlets of the municipality of Bagni di Lucca, visiting local villas and walking in the footsteps of English romantic poets of the nineteenth century.
