Our property
In the heart of the historic center of Cabras lies Limolo Guest House, a hospitality project born from the restoration of two ancient rammed earth houses and their original annexes. Here, the concept of a stay transforms into an authentic experience designed for those who wish to engage with the area mindfully, curiously, and respectfully. The establishment embodies a new way of living, where responsible tourism, storytelling, and circular economy coexist in a harmonious balance of hospitality, culture, and sustainability.
Developed with the help of artists and architects specializing in bioarchitecture, the guest house is constructed entirely from natural raw materials and reclaimed items, often repurposed into furniture and artistic installations. Objects from the world of classic sailing, handcrafted works, and unique details narrate a vibrant space where sea, land, air, and fire symbolize a sensory and creative experience. The environments maintain a naturally balanced temperature and seamlessly blend with the landscape of the Sinis wetlands and the charming fishing district that surrounds the property.
Limolo offers a co-living style of hospitality, perfect for curious travelers with a green heart. The communal areas, gardens, and shared kitchen encourage spontaneous gatherings and moments of togetherness, creating a small temporary community united by the desire to experience Sardinia at a slower pace and foster authentic relationships. The six rooms, each with a private bathroom, are situated in an intimate and sustainable context where the stay becomes part of a broader cultural and territorial experience.
Breakfast follows a philosophy of freedom and sustainability. Each guest finds a personal kit in a box made from recycled wood by local artisans, containing everything needed for a self-prepared breakfast to be enjoyed at their own pace, either in the garden or on the citrus patio. A coffee machine, kettle, tea, jams, sourdough bread, yogurt from Sardinian farms, and selected products are available in a shared kitchen organized according to plastic-free principles and eco-friendly cleaning supplies.
The soul of Limolo is Daniela, the owner and creator of the project. A former lawyer, now a skipper and culinary expert, she chose to restore these homes in opposition to demolitions, valuing the traditional construction methods of rammed earth through a careful and artisanal restoration process. Her professional journey is reflected in the hospitality offered: a space open to cultural exchange, exploration of the territory, and active participation in initiatives related to bioarchitecture, photography, cooking, and hiking.
Staying at Limolo means discovering Cabras and the Sinis Peninsula mindfully, amidst lagoons, biodiversity, and the sea. Here, sustainability is not just a slogan but a daily practice involving shared space management, reducing environmental impacts, promoting gentle mobility, and being mindful of natural resources. It’s an invitation to experience vacation as a regenerative journey, capable of forging authentic connections with both places and people.

You will be hosted by Daniela
Daniela is the heart and founder of Limolo Guest House. After a lengthy career as a lawyer, she chose to immerse herself in the maritime world, becoming a skipper and culinary expert. She transformed her passion for travel, sustainability, and local culture into a project focused on mindful hospitality.
She personally renovated the ancient earthen houses in the historic center of Cabras, opposing demolition and opting for a natural and artisanal restoration carried out in collaboration with architects and bioarchitecture professionals. The outcome is a vibrant, healthy space that is deeply connected to its surroundings, designed to welcome curious and respectful travelers.
Daniela promotes a vision of active and cultural tourism by organizing and supporting initiatives aimed at enhancing the Sinis area through experiences related to nature, cuisine, photography, sailing, and slow exploration of the landscape. The hospitality stems from a desire to share passions, encounters, and stories, creating an informal and authentic atmosphere where each guest can feel part of a small, temporary community.
Area city center
Cabras is an authentic village located in western Sardinia, overlooking the picturesque Sinis peninsula, a region that remains untouched where nature, history, and maritime traditions coexist harmoniously. Strolling through the streets of the historic center, one can feel the essence of this fishing community, characterized by low houses, hidden courtyards, and daily rhythms tied to the sea and the surrounding lagoons.
The landscape is dominated by the Cabras lagoon and extensive wetlands, which serve as a vital habitat for many bird species and are an ideal spot for nature lovers, birdwatchers, and outdoor enthusiasts. Just a few kilometers away lie the stunning beaches of Sinis, among the most captivating on the island, featuring stretches of white quartz sand, crystal-clear waters, and wild scenery that alternates between dunes, cliffs, and Mediterranean scrub.
The area holds significant archaeological sites, such as the ancient Phoenician-Punic city of Tharros and the Mont’e Prama site, known for its famous Stone Giants, symbols of the Nuragic civilization. Museums, historical sites, and nature trails reveal a profound and astonishing Sardinia, far removed from mass tourism.
Cabras is also a renowned gastronomic destination, celebrated for its mullet roe, local seafood products, and a simple yet flavorful cuisine deeply rooted in local identity. Visitors can engage directly with the local community through markets, trattorias, and traditional festivals, experiencing a slow and genuine way of life.
Exploring Sinis means experiencing the area sustainably, whether on foot, by bike, or along coastal routes rich in biodiversity. It’s a perfect place for those seeking unspoiled beaches, culture, tranquility, and authenticity, where every season brings unique colors, scents, and experiences.
