Montepertuso is a picturesque hamlet of Positano, located on a hill and can be reached by a winding road on the mountain. It is an ideal place for trekking lovers on the Amalfi Coast, thanks to the network of trails that connect the hamlet to the Lattari Mountains, including the famous Path of the Gods. Legends narrate that the area was a place of battles between Good and Evil, between the Virgin and the Devil: on the rock of Mount Gambera (510m) the silhouette of the serpent is still visible and a fascinating hole in the mountain, from which Montepertuso takes its name, was impressed by the index finger of the Madonna as evidence of her presence. During the visit, it is recommended to visit the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie and the Fontana Vecchia, restored in 1973 and particularly appreciated by the inhabitants of Montepertuso for its fresh and pure water.
