La Fontanella 1905

Holiday House in Aquileia in the mid-centre

The holiday home La Fontanella 1905 is located in the village of Villa Raspa, just a ten-minute walk from the historic center. Its name comes from the fountain situated right in the heart of the village, which is accessible to everyone. It is suitable for two people or a family. The property occupies the first floor of a two-family house and has a private entrance. It covers an area of approximately 50 square meters and consists of a living area with a kitchen, table, chairs, and a sofa bed for two, a double bedroom, and a private bathroom. The small terrace overlooks the garden, which features a charming mosaic-topped table.

You will be hosted by Arianna

I will be happy to welcome you to my home. You will notice several stones embedded in the outside walls; these are inscriptions, Roman epigraphs. They were discovered by my grandfather, Marino Macor, an enthusiastic collector of Roman artifacts, who managed to create a unique private collection that is accessible to everyone. Currently, most of those artifacts are displayed in the National Archaeological Museum of Aquileia. The stones are subjects of study, and it is not uncommon to receive visits from historians, students, and enthusiasts.

Area mid-centre

The vacation home is located in the village of Villa Raspa, just a ten-minute walk from the historic center, either by taking the promenade along the Roman port or following a country path that we refer to as the "trojs." Nearby, you'll find the Alpe Adria cycling path that runs from Salzburg to Grado. It's easy to explore Aquileia on foot, where you can visit the Basilica, museums, and ongoing archaeological sites. There are several restaurants and agriturismos where you can sample local dishes. Be sure not to miss a visit to the wineries for tastings of the wines produced in this region. Equally important is the convenience of having Berto's market right nearby.
