La Casa di Adelina
A small village, the landscapes of Val d'Orcia and an ancient historical residence dating back to the 13th century - this is "La Casa di Adelina". The bed and breakfast is located in the historic center of Monticchiello. Monticchiello is more than just a small village, perched on a hill in Val d'Orcia where time seems to have stopped, just like at Adelina's bed and breakfast.
It is here, among the hills of Val d'Orcia, that the Rustici aristocratic family resided since 1200, and still own the property today, as well as being part of the history of this village. On the top floor of the building, there is a warm and modern bed and breakfast ready to host you for your holidays.
A charming B&B, the rooms at Casa di Adelina are exactly as you imagine them: typical wooden ceilings of the past, romantic wrought-iron beds and antique family furniture. There is not a room that doesn't have a window with a view of the village square, the hills of Val d'Orcia or Pienza. Modern design lamps and armchairs, a small library, music, internet connection and an iPad at your disposal - the living room becomes a surprise!
In the morning, you will always find Francesco preparing excellent cakes, croissants, pies and donuts for you. Tasty cappuccinos and all kinds of coffee will be served along with fresh fruit in the B&B breakfast room. Selected organic products. At the top of the house is a lovely Attic Apartment. As you try to force myself, I assure you that no description can come close to reality. Tiny windows, drawn in thick walls, are followed by the lower level up to that area and, with the view that they will enjoy, you could compare to the naturalistic paintings. From a living room, which offers a breathtaking view of the Val d’Orcia and Monte Amiata, it passes into the room with the fireplace, so called because it stands nestled between a giant blue tiles. Here also a sofa, table, chairs. Everything was done to make people feel at home. There is a modern and fully equipped kitchen, bedroom and bathroom located in the attic. This apartment can be independent from the rest of the house and comfortably accommodate four people.
