Il Magan - Cinque Terre

Bed & Breakfast in Corniglia-Vernazza in the city center

The Magàn is a family-run Bed & Breakfast located in the historic center of Corniglia, the most authentic and peaceful village of the Cinque Terre. We are three siblings who together manage the B&B, our family farm, and La Scuna bar, where we welcome our guests for breakfast every morning. Having lived here for generations, we are happy to share tips and recommendations for exploring the area in an authentic way. The property offers bright and well-maintained rooms, each with a private bathroom, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and all the necessary comforts for a relaxing stay. The views from the rooms are truly unique: the sea blends with the characteristic terraced vineyards that surround the village. The rooms on the second floor also feature a small terrace overlooking the sea and the town, perfect for enjoying an aperitif at sunset. Breakfast is always included and is served on the panoramic terrace of La Scuna bar, located just below the rooms. Every morning, we offer freshly brewed coffee, bread, croissants, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereals, ham, cheese, and juices, providing a simple and authentic awakening with a beautiful view of the sea. Throughout the day, La Scuna also serves as a pleasant meeting spot where you can enjoy local wines, craft beers, the rare Sciacchetrà, and delicious appetizers featuring anchovies, platters, and cold dishes. Just a short walk from Magàn are the Torre Bella Vista and the Terrazza di Santa Maria, among the most scenic viewpoints in all of the Cinque Terre. The area is rich with restaurants and shops where you can discover the local cuisine, particularly seafood dishes enhanced by the aromatic herbs that grow naturally on these hills. Corniglia sits atop a rocky promontory overlooking the sea and retains a soul deeply connected to the land. Its houses tell a story of agriculture marked by vineyards and mule paths, which have now been transformed into scenic trails connecting the five villages between sky and sea. Many of the most fascinating paths of the National Park begin right from Corniglia, the "middle land." Staying at Magàn means experiencing the Cinque Terre authentically, enjoying extraordinary landscapes, a relaxed atmosphere, and sincere, family-like hospitality. We welcome couples, families, and solo travelers year-round, providing an ideal starting point to explore the area and truly feel part of Corniglia.

Area city center

Corniglia is the most authentic and secluded village in the Cinque Terre, perched on a rocky promontory that overlooks the sea and offers breathtaking views. Unlike the other coastal towns, it maintains a soul that is deeply connected to the land, evident in its compact houses, terraced vineyards, and the slow pace of daily life. Strolling through the alleys of the historic center allows one to immerse in a genuine atmosphere filled with small shops, wine bars, and restaurants where local cuisine highlights fresh fish and the aromatic herbs that grow wild on the surrounding hills. Natural viewpoints, such as the Santa Maria Terrace and the Bella Vista Tower, provide stunning glimpses of the sea and the rows of vines that slope down toward the horizon. Corniglia is also the perfect starting point for hiking enthusiasts: from here, the main trails of the Cinque Terre National Park branch out, ancient mule tracks that connect the five villages between sky and sea, traversing unspoiled landscapes and unforgettable vistas. The train station and connections to other towns make it easy to explore the entire coastline, allowing you to return and enjoy the tranquility and authenticity of this unique place.
