Il Castello

Bed & Breakfast in San Vito-Narni in the city center

The B&B Il Castello is located in San Vito di Narni, within a unique residence converted from a 16th-century castle, offering a stunning view of the Tiber Valley. The square tower that rises at the center of the building accentuates its historical charm and makes the stay even more memorable, providing an atmosphere reminiscent of bygone times, perfect for those who appreciate historic homes and wish to experience something authentic. Surrounding the village is a landscape full of picturesque views and historical remnants. Just beyond the settlement, a dirt road winds through olive groves and leads into an ancient forest, where the charming private chapel of Madonna delle Grazie stands, built between 1774 and 1777. In the village square, as you ascend through the town, you will also come across the old Monte del Grano mill, dating back to the 1600s, which has been transformed into a restaurant since the early 1970s. Additionally, in June, San Vito celebrates its patron saint with a festival that holds great significance for the local community. The location is also ideal for exploring the surrounding area. Narni is about 15 km away and hosts the famous Corsa all’Anello every year from late April to mid-May, one of the most captivating historical reenactments in Umbria, featuring equestrian competitions, medieval costume parades, and a wonderfully evocative atmosphere. Among the most interesting destinations in the region are the Cascate delle Marmore, some of the most spectacular waterfalls in Europe, and Lake Piediluco, a small gem nestled in nature. Umbria offers delightful experiences in every season, with its landscapes, scents, and gastronomic delights, including the renowned black truffle. B&B Il Castello is the perfect place for those looking to slow down, rejuvenate, and rediscover the joy of silence, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, in a welcoming environment that truly feels like home.
