Garbatella House

Holiday House in Roma in the Garbatella

Our property

Renovated in July 2024, this cozy and functional home provides a comfortable stay in the heart of Garbatella, one of Rome's most authentic and charming neighborhoods. The spaces are meticulously designed to ensure independence, relaxation, and practicality, whether for short or long visits. The kitchen is fully equipped with a four-burner stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, kettle, and all the necessary supplies for cooking and dining at home. There are pots, dishes, cutlery, and cleaning products available, as well as a washing machine, iron, ironing board, and laundry soap. The living area, which is air-conditioned like all other rooms, features a dining table for 4-6 people and a comfortable two-seater sofa. The sleeping area includes two spacious and bright bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, flat-screen TV, desk, small refrigerator, wardrobe with hangers, mirror, and complimentary toiletries. The first bedroom accommodates two guests in a double bed, while the second can host up to three guests, with a flexible configuration of either three single beds or one double bed plus a single bed. A crib and high chair are also available for younger guests, and small pets are welcome if the entire apartment is booked, with bowls and pads provided. Each bathroom comes with a hairdryer, soaps, and a complete set of towels for each guest. Wi-Fi is available throughout the house. The hospitality is warm and direct: the welcome is personally managed by a mother and son team, who are always ready to provide useful information, suggestions on what to see, and tips on getting around the city. However, self-check-in is also an option. The location is strategic. Just a short walk away are the Piramide metro station, the Roma-Lido railway line, and Ostiense station, which offer convenient connections to Termini, the historic center, Ostia Lido, Ostia Antica, and Fiumicino Airport. Nearby are the headquarters of the Lazio Region, UNINT, and the Polo Didattico. The Colosseum is only 4.4 km away and can be reached in less than 20 minutes by bus 716, which stops right in front of the house.

Area Garbatella

Garbatella is one of the most charming and authentic neighborhoods in Rome, a part of the city where a popular atmosphere blends with the understated elegance of historic architecture. Established in the early decades of the 20th century as a working-class area, it still retains the allure of its low-rise houses with internal courtyards, lush gardens, and picturesque views that reveal a different, more intimate side of Rome. Strolling through its streets offers a unique urban experience characterized by tranquility, greenery, and well-maintained architectural details, interspersed with contemporary murals and period structures. The area is particularly valued for its livability and abundance of amenities: shops, cafes, restaurants, local markets, parks, and cultural spaces make Garbatella an ideal location for both first-time visitors to Rome and those seeking a more genuine experience of the city. Well-connected to the rest of Rome, the neighborhood is served by the Metro Line B (with the Piramide station just a few minutes away on foot), the Roma-Lido urban railway, and the Ostiense train station, which provides access to Fiumicino Airport via the Leonardo Express or facilitates easy travel to other parts of the city and the coast. In less than 20 minutes, one can reach iconic sites like the Colosseum, while Ostia Antica and the sea are conveniently accessible in about half an hour. Additionally, important institutional and academic centers are nearby, such as the Lazio Region, the University of International Studies of Rome (UNINT), and the Educational Center for renting classrooms and training spaces, making the area perfect for study or work stays.
