The Aquarium B&B offers a variety of rooms, including one with 3 beds (21 m2), one with 4 beds (28 m2), and a studio with a kitchenette (43 m2) with 4 beds + 1. The building is located in an independent section of the Ancient Salt Warehouse of the Republic of Genoa, an ancient 1600s stone construction located near the historic Malapaga Walls that fortified the Molo peninsula in the 1200s.
After World War II, the Ancient Salt Warehouse was converted into an industrial storage for anchors and marine supplies, with structural interventions that included the creation of the windows that now characterize the B&B. In the 2000s, the Bariletti family carried out a complete renovation, transforming the building into a four-story loft for residential use and B&B rooms with independent access. This renovation harmoniously combined the ancient charm of the exposed stone walls with modern elements such as steel, reinforced concrete, and slate.
The B&B is strategically located just 50 meters from the Luzzati Museum, near the ancient Siberia Gate, where some sets by Emanuele Luzzati welcome guests. The rooms, with their exposed stone walls, are characterized by vibrant colors and a unique style. Each room is equipped with air conditioning, heating, free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, a sofa or armchairs, a safe, stone flooring, a wardrobe, and a bathroom with a shower, hairdryer, and toiletries. Additionally, you will find a refrigerator, an electric kettle, and a coffee machine in the rooms. Connecting rooms and rooms with a kitchenette can be booked, all with independent external entrances.
The buffet breakfast is abundant and includes cheese, honey, jams, yogurt, biscuits, croissants, fruit juices, fresh fruit, cereals, and Ligurian pastries. Breakfast is served directly in the room and is available 24 hours a day.
As for parking, the Marina Park (15€ for 24 hours) is only 600 meters away.
