The house that currently serves as the Bed and Breakfast “Casa Tilde” is a genuine treasure of history, having been owned by Emanuela's family for generations. Built in 1830 using stones from the Secchia River and materials from the old Romani kiln, it was acquired by Emanuela's great-grandparents in 1850 and later passed to her grandparents, Vittorio and Tilde, in 1938. During World War II, the house became a refuge for many displaced individuals, and once the war ended, Vittorio opened his property to American soldiers, facilitating the establishment of a base camp.
The current renovation, initiated by Emanuela in honor of her grandmother Tilde, maintains the charm and memories of the past, transforming the property into a welcoming Bed and Breakfast. The decision to dedicate the house to Tilde is intentional: her determination and bravery during the toughest times serve as a source of inspiration for Emanuela.
