Casa Magar Pula

Apartment in the city center

A summer morning unfolds slowly, filled with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the joy of sipping it in the courtyard, under the shade of the olive tree, while contemplating which beach to choose to explore the endless shades of blue in the Sardinian sea. Casa Magar welcomes guests with this very ambiance: relaxed, authentic, and deeply Mediterranean. Nestled in the heart of Pula’s historic center, a charming town in southern Sardinia just minutes from the most beautiful beaches along the coast, the house is perfect for a couple, a family, or small groups, comfortably accommodating up to five or six people. The interiors retain the charm of traditional Sardinian homes, enhanced by original details and thoughtful solutions for a simple and comfortable vacation experience. The sleeping area features a bright, spacious master bedroom, characterized by a wooden ceiling and a window overlooking a lemon tree—an intimate and calming space where rest comes naturally. The second bedroom, inspired by the bow of a sailboat, immediately captivates both young and old: the bed, suitable for one and a half people, is ideal for two children or a close couple, and the direct access to the bathroom creates a cozy and unique atmosphere, reminiscent of being at sea, yet always calm. The living room is designed for relaxation, featuring a comfortable corner sofa bed that can convert into a double bed or two single beds. The soft lighting, a stove for cooler seasons, and air conditioning for summer make this space inviting throughout the year. The house also includes a main bathroom and a second restroom, both equipped with showers. The eat-in kitchen is one of the property's most distinctive features, showcasing historic cement tiles salvaged from old Sardinian homes, each unique and rich in history and color. Fully equipped with dishes, utensils, and a kettle, it allows for independent cooking and a natural way to enjoy the everyday life of vacationing. The internal courtyard is a small, private refuge, intimate and picturesque, perfect for spending evenings outdoors. It includes a pleasant barbecue area with a dining table, surrounded by Mediterranean scents: rosemary, myrtle, and bay leaves can be picked directly from the garden to enhance dishes, while fresh lemons can be harvested for use in cooking or summer drinks. There is also an outdoor shower in the courtyard, ideal for rinsing off after a day at the beach. The house is equipped with a washing machine and air conditioning, which can quickly cool the spaces while maintaining mindful energy consumption. At check-out, a cleaning fee of 60 to 80 euros is required, depending on the number of guests, along with a tourist tax set by the Municipality of Pula at 0.50 euros per person per day, and the cost for the use of air conditioning and the washing machine, calculated through a specific meter.

Area city center

Casa Magar is situated in the heart of Pula's historic center, along a quiet street where the daily pace is slow and genuine. Here, one can experience the true essence of southern Sardinia, characterized by silent alleyways, low pastel-colored houses, and ancient dwellings made from "ladiri," the traditional raw earth bricks that define the local architecture. The thick stone and earth walls naturally keep the interiors cool and inviting, offering that pleasant sense of well-being typical of Mediterranean homes, which has recently been rediscovered in eco-friendly building practices. Additionally, air conditioning and ceiling fans enhance the comfort, making the stay enjoyable even on the hottest days. Pula’s center provides all essential services conveniently within walking distance: supermarkets, artisan shops, small stores selling local products, and delicatessens where one can explore regional flavors. In the evening, the town comes alive with restaurants, wine bars, and outdoor venues, perfect for a relaxed dinner or a stroll through the illuminated streets. The beautiful Nora Beach can be easily reached by bike or a leisurely twenty-minute walk, allowing guests to leave their car in the private courtyard and enjoy a worry-free vacation. From here, it’s simple to explore some of the most captivating coastlines in southern Sardinia: the crystal-clear waters of Chia, the famous Tuerredda Beach, the stunning Teulada Bay, and the white dunes of Porto Pino. The islands of Sant’Antioco and San Pietro are also worth a visit, rich in maritime traditions and untouched landscapes. The region offers more than just the sea: the inland boasts scenic trails through oak, myrtle, and mastic trees, perfect for trekking and nature excursions. Sports enthusiasts can choose from sailing, diving, climbing, canyoning, golf, or biking routes, while those who prefer a slower pace can explore local wineries and the region’s wines. For a different perspective on the sea, one can spend a day sailing in the Gulf of Teulada with AdaroVela, an authentic experience among hidden coves and clear waters. Cuisine is also a vital part of the journey: Sardinia's gastronomic tradition presents dishes rich in history and authentic flavors, made with local and seasonal ingredients, to be savored slowly at the town’s taverns and restaurants. In southern Sardinia, each day can differ from the last, offering a mix of sea, nature, sports, and culture. After a day of excursions and discoveries, it’s always delightful to return home, take a moment to relax, and then head out again for an evening stroll and some gelato under the stars, feeling as though one is enjoying a simple and genuine vacation.
