Casa Aulivo

Bed & Breakfast in Caiazzo in the city center

Casa Aulivo is nestled among the ancient alleys of Caiazzo, preserving the charm of old residences. This 18th-century building still retains many of its original features, including cement tile floors, wooden doors and fixtures, exposed tuff stone, and iron railings typical of the region. Inside, every detail has been meticulously crafted, blending family heritage with contemporary style to create an environment with authentic character. The terrace provides a view that transforms throughout the day: the Lombard castle, the Aragonese Tower, the dome of St. Peter's, and the valley traversed by the Volturno River create a picturesque natural backdrop for your stay. The location is ideal for easily reaching the Royal Palace of Caserta, the Matese mountains, Mount Vesuvius, and Naples airport. The view room is spacious and welcoming, suitable for families due to the option of adding extra beds. The bathroom, featuring a shower and double sinks, is designed for comfort and convenience. The larger suite, characterized by exposed stone and wooden beams, includes a relaxation area, a section dedicated to single beds, and a living area with a double bed, fireplace, and visible bathtub. It also comes equipped with a minibar, kettle, herbal teas, and an espresso machine. The oil mill serves as the historical heart of the house: a charming room that still houses the millstone, stone basin, and press. The original masonry kitchen, with its plates and oven, reflects the agricultural activities that once animated the village. Breakfast is served outdoors on mild days or in the fireplace room when it's colder. It features a variety of local products and ingredients from the family garden, with options available for those with celiac disease, vegans, vegetarians, and guests with food intolerances. The management is family-run and attentive. Damiano, a photographer with a passion for rural life, welcomes guests in a relaxed atmosphere and personally prepares coffee using a moka pot, keeping the house's traditions alive. The central location allows for easy walking among monuments, restaurants, and local shops. Parking and the train station are just a few minutes away, making the residence convenient for those arriving without a car.
