The neighborhood of San Benedetto in Cagliari offers all the necessary services for a pleasant visit. It stretches from the square of the same name through commercial and residential streets. This area is well connected to various neighborhoods of the city thanks to public transportation such as CTM, ARST, and other companies. From here, it is possible to reach the famous Poetto beach, which is about 7 km away from the neighborhood. Nearby, you will find the Municipal Lyric Theater and the Music Park, ideal places to spend leisure time. The San Benedetto Municipal Market is famous for its approximately 8000 square meters of space and for the indoor exhibition and sale of fresh fish. Along Via Paoli and crossing Piazza Garibaldi, with its pedestrian street Garibaldi, you can admire the characteristic flowered balconies of the Villanova neighborhood and maybe even attend a musical performance. Continuing towards Via Sulis, you will arrive at the Bastion of Saint Remy, one of the most important fortifications in Cagliari. From here, you can visit the Castello neighborhood and the Marina, which are adjacent to Via Roma, with its arcades overlooking the harbor.
