Our structure is located in the beautiful countryside of the Lower Maremma. Our farmhouse, purchased in 2010, surprised us during the renovation works: in the attic, we found adorable baby birds of different species, such as owls, barn owls, and falcons. We took loving care of them, feeding them until they were ready to fly away, unaware of how incredible our luck was. Later on, we discovered that the falcon that had nested in our home was an extremely rare and protected species never seen before in Lazio. This falcon, scientifically known as the "grillaio" (Naumanni), only lives on the coasts of Puglia and Calabria, as it is a migratory bird. And so, our adventure began: we created specific habitats for these falcons, hosting a colony of approximately 35-40 specimens. The rooms are located on the second floor of the structure and offer a colorful atmosphere. Each room is characterized by large stone walls and exposed beam ceilings that reach heights of up to 6 meters. Every room has a private bathroom with a shower. From April to September, the Mignone Valley becomes a true paradise for photographers and bird enthusiasts, who find an extraordinary biodiversity here to capture and study.
