The residence was built in 1870, its origins are linked to the history of a noble Sicilian family: the Barons of Vagliasindi. They were looking for somewhere surrounded by nature where they could start cultivating vineyards and olive groves. The name “Carranco” means “cliff”, and “tongues of lava” in the plural. Today Villa dei Baroni is a peaceful and secluded place, with no direct exposure to the neighbourhood but just a few minutes’ drive from the most important towns such as Castiglione di Sicilia and Randazzo, and within easy reach of numerous points of interest.
