Carlotta - My professional and personal profiles are closely intertwined. My responsibilities as a wife, mother, worker, and grandmother have always blended in my daily life. For forty-two years, I have been a kindergarten teacher while also supporting my husband in his endeavors. This has given me a multifaceted aspect. As my teaching career was coming to an end, I realized that it wouldn't be easy to give up the extensive network of human relationships I had woven throughout my life.
Mario - After working as a foreign language correspondent (in German and French) for a few years, I dedicated myself to a business venture, specializing in publishing and later in the restaurant industry. In this latter activity, I received great support from Carlotta and gained experiences that proved extremely useful in the decision to embark on the adventure of hospitality at the Villa Carlotta bed & breakfast. I love to converse and enjoy entertaining our guests with stories and anecdotes about Ferrara, its history, and the Este culinary tradition.
