The B&B "Via della Piazza" is located in the heart of the picturesque historic center of Pescasseroli (AQ), the historic capital of the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park, one of the most important protected areas in Italy.
Pescasseroli is situated in the charming high valley of the Sangro, at an altitude of 1,167 meters, surrounded by centuries-old beech forests and spectacular mountains.
The surrounding area of our establishment reflects the typical architectural style of the Abruzzo mountain villages, with its stone and mortar houses. Within walking distance are the parish church of medieval origins and the suggestive ruins of Castel Mancino, which stand on the slopes of the mountain and are visible from the windows of some of our rooms.
We have recently renovated the house to offer a comfortable and welcoming environment, while preserving all the elements that characterize this bourgeois residence from the early 20th century: from the original windows and doors, to the antique terracotta floors, to most of the furniture, furnishings, paintings, and vintage photographs. We have also enhanced some architectural elements such as the living stone and brick walls and the fireplaces.

We are in the heart of the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise, one of Italy's oldest and most significant parks. A true paradise for nature lovers and all related activities. An ideal place for hiking, biking or horseback riding, and in winter for skiing and snowshoeing. The park offers a vast network of trails that allow you to explore the entire territory, crossing valleys with ancient beech forests, gorges, streams and lakes, up to the highest peaks above 2000 meters. You can participate in guided tours organized by experienced guides by contacting some local agencies.
In the park there are about eighteen municipalities, which testify to the millennia-old presence of humans in this unspoiled territory. This has given rise to a rich rural culture typical of the inland areas of southern Italy. Each village offers unique culinary specialties, craftsmanship and popular traditions. By car, you can visit these picturesque villages on the slopes of the mountains, through suggestive panoramic roads that extend beyond the Park, throughout the mountainous region of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise. Pescasseroli is located near the borders between the three regions.
Pescasseroli has a ski area with numerous ski lifts and about 20 km of slopes, as well as a ski school. Just a few minutes by car, there is also a cross-country skiing center, with a related school and equipment rental. Moreover, within less than an hour's drive, you can reach the most important ski resorts in Abruzzo, such as Roccaraso, Campofelice, Ovindoli, and Scanno.
