Our property

Our establishment is located in Tivoli close to the train station, just a few steps away from the historic center and Villa Gregoriana park. Our main strength is the warm welcome and availability that we offer to each and every one of our guests. During check-in, we'll assist you with parking and luggage. You'll be welcomed and provided with tourist information. We'll also give you a complimentary map of Tivoli, highlighting recommended routes and information about the schedules and prices of the villas. We're "friends of the bicycle" and have a small bike repair shop. For our biker friends, Alessandro offers his mechanical skills for free, as well as a private garage for bicycles and motorcycles. Our "Good Morning" At Il Vecchio Treno, we believe the morning feels different when greeted by the aroma of coffee and a touch of sweetness. That’s why we’ve created a dedicated space where you can prepare your breakfast with total autonomy and relaxation. Our rooms are connected by a cozy common area, equipped with everything you need: - The Coffee Corner: An espresso machine with a wide selection of pods (classic, barley, and ginseng) to start your day with energy. - Tea & Infusions: A kettle with a selection of teas, herbal teas, and chamomile for a gentle wake-up call or an evening treat. - The Sweet Pantry: You will always find milk, water, biscuits, rusks, and jams. - Equipment: A refrigerator to store your food and a microwave to warm up whatever you like. Breakfast in the Apartment If you stay in our apartments, you will find the same assortment of products directly in your private kitchen. Everything is ready for you to prepare breakfast whenever you prefer, perhaps staying in your pajamas a bit longer before heading out to discover Tivoli.

Together with my life partner Alessandro, I’ve been dedicated to the art of hospitality for twenty years. I love chatting and meeting new people, every guest is a story waiting to be heard. The Old Train is located right behind the railway station, about a 40-minute train ride from Rome's Tiburtina station. Walking five minutes from The Old Train, you can reach Villa Gregoriana Park and the Temple of Sibyl. Within ten minutes, you can also reach the historic center, Villa d'Este, the Bleso Amphitheater, and Rocca Pia.
