"Torrelama Room & Breakfast" is located on the north coast of Bari, between the cities of Trani and Bisceglie, areas with a maritime and agricultural vocation. Situated in the area known as "Lama Paterna", this area is of great interest because it constitutes one of the most beautiful landscapes in the northern part of the Bari region. It is characterized by frequent ravines, of which it represents one of the most intact and impressive examples, thanks also to its natural width. A coastal tower dating back to the end of the 16th century dominates the entire surrounding panorama and enhances the environmental importance of the locality. A natural stone bridge, the "Ponte Lama", built from 1800 onwards to overcome the difference in height, overlooks the lama itself. These towers constituted the defensive, surveillance and communication system along the coastal strip of the Kingdom of Naples. From each tower it was possible to scan the sea and usually see the two adjacent ones, with the possibility of sending light and smoke signals to transmit a message or request assistance. The "Olivieri" Tower was completed in 1598 and is one of the most architecturally interesting towers in the Bari region.
