During the period of maximum cultural and economic splendor of the Maritime Republic of Genoa in the 1500s (which earned it the nickname "Genoa, the Superb"), a competition emerged among noble families who sought to host prominent figures in their palaces and prestigious residences during state visits. These luxurious homes were then included in lists known as the "Palaces of the Rolli of Genoa" and, through a public lottery, were proudly assigned as accommodations for prominent personalities visiting the city.

In later periods, these same residences hosted illustrious travelers who included the capital of Liguria in their cultural, tourist, and economic Grand Tours.

To preserve their original appearance by recovering ancient materials, the restoration and renewal of The Tower lasted over eight years. The result? Medieval places in the 21st century!
