"Napoli Da Vivere Suites Giudecca" is a delightful apartment located on the fourth floor of a building dating back to the early 1900s, without an elevator. It is situated in the historic district of Forcella, which is one of the most typical and fascinating places in all of Naples, rich in history, culture, and tradition. Since the time of the ancient Greeks, this neighborhood has been a place of great importance and mystery. Its name has a curious origin: the Y shape of the intersection reminded the citizens of Naples of a fork, which is an object with two points that widen at the end. However, Forcella has much more ancient origins: about 2300 years ago, Greek colonists arrived on the shores of Naples and traced an ancient Decumanus that is now located right under the city.
The apartment has three suites, furnished and designed to meet the different needs of our guests. We always offer a stay that is comfortable, serene, and above all, familiar.
Forcella has witnessed the history of the city and hides all its secrets, collecting inside the most beautiful and fascinating tradition of Partenope. Until the arrival of the Spanish in Naples, this neighborhood had been a center of hospitality for the Jews, since the Roman era: in fact, here there was one of the three ghettos of the city, of which today we can admire some palaces that tell the passions and emotions of all those who lived there until the 16th century. With the arrival of the Spanish, however, Forcella was dismantled.
Despite being often mistakenly considered a second-rate neighborhood, Forcella represents instead the true beating heart of the city.
Napoli Da Vivere Suites Giudecca is a house in a late 19th century building in the center of Naples, located on a fourth floor without a lift. The Suite Del Vulcano is located in an apartment of three rooms eachone with private bathroom, completely renovated and furnished with salvaged furniture decorated by me. The room has a private bathroom with shower, two single beds that can be joined together, smart TV with netflix free, air conditioning, table with chairs and a city view balcony with outdoor furniture.
I have always worked in professions that allowed me to interact with people, but I have discovered that the hospitality industry offers me the greatest satisfaction. I try to be discreet and respectful of guests' privacy during their stay, but at the same time, I enjoy personally welcoming them to get to know them and show them my city, so that we are not anonymous to each other. Additionally, I am happy to offer recommendations on where to eat and what to visit in Naples, even beyond the usual tourist itineraries, because Naples is a city that deserves to be experienced fully!
For years, the Forcella neighborhood, as well as the Spanish Quarters, were notorious for being dangerous areas to avoid, even for a walk. However, they actually represent the beating heart of the city, where you can meet the most authentic people who keep the ancient Neapolitan traditions alive. Naples da Vivere Suites Giudecca is located in a strategic position for visitors, easily accessible by foot from the central station and a few minutes' walk from the Duomo and Spaccanapoli. A few steps away is the Annunziata Hospital, where babies were once anonymously abandoned. In front of the entrance is the famous "Dè figliole" pizzeria, renowned for its fried pizzas, and around the corner, you can still find the ancient pizzeria da Michele (where there are always long lines of people waiting to get in from 11 in the morning until 10 at night) and the Trianon pizzeria.
