Rocca di Cerere is a complex of four different vacation homes named "Venere," "Euno," "Kamuth," and "Calliope." These fully renovated homes are all located on the first floor of a building overlooking Via Lombardia, which is the access road to the namesake castle and continuation of the more monumental Via Roma, the main street that runs through the entire upper city.

Pina and Pietro have been holding hands for a few decades, each pursuing their own interests: Pietro has been involved in commerce since he was young, then devoted himself to architecture and finally ended his career in Civil Protection. Pina, on the other hand, found her fulfillment in education: first by teaching natural sciences, then by dealing with the evaluation of educational processes.
Both have always had at heart the concept of hospitality, so much so that their home has always been open to friends, both personal and those of their son Francesco Paolo and his future wife Claudia, always sharing a meal, a bed and a smile: a manifestation of an authentic and genuine form of Sicilian hospitality, rooted in welcoming guests, which dates back to ancient times on the island.

The building is located on Lombardia Street - which is why the district is called "Lummardì" in dialect - leading to the nearby Lombardia Castle, whose enormous fortified citadel, considered the largest in Sicily, extends above the houses of the area. The presence of the Castle with its attached Pisan Tower, from whose summit you can enjoy a vast panorama, and the nearby cliff called "Rocca di Cerere", also known as Rocca da Zeru by the locals (an Arab-origin name: Rwka da Ziru), make the district of "Lummardì" the most visited in the city. In particular, Rocca di Cerere is the pride of the ancient historical center of the city of Enna, where it stands at its highest point, contributing to its historic definition of "Urbs inexpugnabilis"; from there, at 1,000 meters above sea level, you can admire an unparalleled panorama, overlooking the lush hinterland of Sicily, up to Mount Etna.. and not only that: "on clear days" Pietro says, "my dad used to claim that you could even see the sea."
