The Oltrarno Residence is located on the outskirts of the San Frediano district, close to the wonderful Cascine Park, a vast green area in the heart of Florence. San Frediano is one of Florence's historic neighborhoods, situated on the other side of the Arno River, from which it takes its name "oltrarno fiorentino". This neighborhood has often been described in famous novels and subsequently brought to the big screen, as in the case of the classic "The Girls of San Frediano" by Vasco Pratolini. The area is well connected by public transport and, even on foot, the historic center of Florence is easily reached.
