Discover the enchantment of the historic center, the privileged location on the South Coast, with some of the most beautiful beaches on the island at your fingertips, lively summer evenings, and an ever-increasing number of connections to major European cities, making Cagliari truly unique. Whether you want to explore the city, use it as a starting point for an island tour, enjoy a relaxing weekend, or a sunny vacation immersed in history, our Guest-House awaits you.
Our guesthouse has four double rooms and a panoramic suite overlooking the city and the gulf. Opened in 2007, the Residence was one of the first in the Castello and Città district to offer a new type of hospitality, more intimate, genuine, and authentic compared to traditional tourist structures.
The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and uniquely furnished. Special attention has been paid to the style of the rooms, enriched with original collages depicting the buildings and monuments that symbolize the neighborhood, as well as maps and historical cards of the city of Cagliari and Sardinia.
From our panoramic terrace, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the city, lagoons, and surrounding mountains of Cagliari. In the summer, the terrace becomes the ideal place to sunbathe and enjoy an aperitif while admiring a wonderful sunset.
In addition to all this, we take great care and attention to our customers, offering services that have allowed us to be featured in prestigious Italian and international guides and publications, from Lonely Planet to Petit Futé, from Guide du Routard to NY Times, Cucina Italiana, and Touring Club Italiano.

My name is Roberta Sanna and I am the manager of Residenza Kastrum. I started managing this establishment in March 2009. From the very beginning, I found this experience very exciting, with the heart of it being the relationship with the guests, from arrival to departure. I enjoy being able to meet the needs of travelers, whether it's a visit for pleasure or business, whether they are foreigners or Italians, loyal customers or those coming to Cagliari for the first time. Sharing with you the wonders, charm, and tastes of our city has always been our philosophy. We are ready to welcome you in the best possible way, offering you the welcome that Cagliari knows how to give!
Founded by the Pisans in the 13th century, the Castello district (Kastrum Karalis according to documents from the Pisan era) has been a crucial point in the history of this city. In every period and under every domination, the Castello has been the center of political and temporal power, and even today its distinctive traces can be admired. The sturdy walls surrounded the fortress, while a series of towers and bastions strategically guarded the access points to the citadel. The Tower of the Elephant and the Tower of San Pancrazio, the Cathedral of Santa Maria, and the Bastion of Saint Remy are testimonies of the Pisan era of Cagliari. Subsequently, the Aragonese influence further enriched the district, with the Royal Palace housing the Viceroy of Spain and still today serving as the seat of public administrative offices. Let's not forget the first location of the University of Cagliari, located in the street of the same name, an institution that was resumed and expanded during the Piedmontese period. During the 19th and early 20th centuries, the terrace of the Bastion, its covered walkway, and the Civic Theater were meeting places and hubs of ideas for the bourgeoisie and the city's intelligentsia. These points represented the main attractions for visitors.
