The Residence is the result of the meticulous restoration of the charming Château Royal, located on Doctor Grappein Street in the heart of the historic center of the town, just a few steps from the majestic Church. This building, whose original tower dates back to 1200, has been declared a national monument for its historical significance. In the past, it was the residence of King Vittorio Emanuele II during his hunting trips in the ancient reserve, now the Gran Paradiso National Park. In the following decades, in the 1920s and 1930s, it was one of the most prestigious hotels in Cogne.
The residence offers a variety of accommodations, including a superior three-room apartment (up to 7 people), seven two-room apartments (three of which are superior, for up to 6 people), and five studios (for 2-3 people). Numerous services are available, including a shared garden, a bar, a laundry room with a washing machine and iron available for free, a small wellness center with a Finnish sauna and a whirlpool accessible for free, free public parking 100 meters away, free wifi throughout the residence, and garages just a few steps away.
The price includes bed linen, towels, all utilities (heating, electricity, etc.), final cleaning (except for the kitchenette, which must be returned clean and tidy), and a midweek change of linen. Additionally, it is possible to have lunch or dinner at the La Barme restaurant in Valnontey at discounted prices. For bookings of at least one week in the low season, we offer a free dinner at the La Barme restaurant in Valnontey. Furthermore, the hotel is affiliated with the thermal services of the Pré-Saint-Didier Spa.
