The Podere La Casellina is located in a splendid hilly region of Tuscany, between the Chianti and Valdarno areas.
Bordered by a chestnut forest of the Chianti Mountains on one side and the hill of oaks, cypresses and olive trees on the other, the farm overlooks the valley below, offering a magnificent view of the Pratomagno.
Here you can experience authentic Tuscan countryside: the olive trees, vineyards, fruit trees, and vegetable garden are still lovingly cared for by our family, following the traditions of a time that respect the rhythm of nature.
The farm has been owned by the church of San Piero a Terreno and, after our grandparents' marriage, it was given to our family in sharecropping in 1936. Since then, it has always been a place of gathering and hospitality for friends and relatives. Now, in the fourth generation, we want to preserve the memories and traditions of this rich land, living it with all the love possible and sharing it with our guests.
With the joyful and warm hospitality of peasant culture, we offer a well-kept and discreet stay, confident that those seeking a countryside vacation desire rest and contact with nature.
We have transformed the barn and stables into three comfortable guest bedrooms, from which you can admire a splendid view of the valley and surrounding countryside.
We continue to live in the old farmhouse, where we serve breakfast with fresh eggs, homemade jams, and traditional sweets. Additionally, we prepare meals using products from our farm, such as oil, wine, and vegetables. Our cuisine follows the Tuscan tradition, based on seasons and ancient recipes.
For those who do not wish to participate in agricultural activities, pleasant walks in the fields are possible, as well as enjoying a picnic among the vineyards or olive trees, or simply walking along the wonderful paths of the forest, perhaps in search of mushrooms or chestnuts.
The area is also ideal for hiking, cycling, or horseback riding.
Furthermore, Florence is only 18 km away from us, and other art cities such as Arezzo, San Gimignano, and Siena can be reached in less than an hour's drive.
