On April 29th, 2017, the Social Cooperative Parco del Mulino opened its Bed & Breakfast in the Park.
Located in the center of the Ardenza neighborhood in the southern part of Livorno, the B&B Parco del Mulino offers a welcoming experience to relax just a few steps from the sea. The Tre Ponti beach and the Rotonda are easily reachable on foot, as well as the historic Baracchina Rossa.
The structure is immersed in a green area that, thanks to our supporters, has allowed us to offer our disabled young people a professional training path in the tourism and hotel industry. Here, they can work regularly in contact with the public, acquiring greater independence and awareness of their qualities through specific programs supervised by tutors.
At Parco del Mulino, we do not have a 24-hour reception service. Check-in in person is available at the following times:
- Monday: 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Tuesday to Saturday: 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Sunday: 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM
If strictly necessary, beyond this time the staff of the pizzeria at our facility will be able to accommodate you, from Tuesday to Sunday, until 10:00 pm.
This is just the beginning of a wonderful inclusion project, based on cordiality and hospitality.
The breakfast is arranged in a way that allows those who have to leave very early to consume packaged products, but there are also homemade cakes and everything needed for a good breakfast. Additionally, at 9: 00 AM, we open the bar managed by the boys with Down syndrome, where you can enjoy a great cup of coffee or cappuccino.
No prepayment needed - pay at the check in

The Parco del Mulino guest house is a great example of excellence for the Tuscany region, thanks to a work inclusion project for young people with disabilities. In fact, 5 young men from the Italian Down Syndrome Association ONLUS section in Livorno are employed in the facility as disadvantaged worker members of the Parco del Mulino social cooperative in Livorno. The young men are responsible for cleaning the rooms, setting up the kitchen and preparing breakfast. Additionally, they will bring joy and spontaneity to the guests.
Livorno is a perfect destination for sea lovers, with enchanting corners that are among the most beautiful in Italy, such as the cliffs of Romito, the coastal road, Sonnino Castle and the Calafuria tower.
But even for those who prefer a less adventurous stay, there are the "flat rocks" where since 1800 it has been customary to swim for pure pleasure. The city also hides other beauties for attentive eyes, such as the Old Fortress and the New Fortress, the picturesque Venice neighborhood, crossed by numerous canals, with its narrow streets and ancient buildings, and the system of canals called "fossi", which surrounds the entire historic center and which is still navigable today.
A short distance from the Mulino Park, there is the Marian sanctuary of Montenero, a place of faith and miracles.
The Mulino Park, located in a private park, is easily reachable from the "Montenero" exit of the ss1 Aurelia Variant (about 900m) or by bus n. 2 from the FS Station, with a stop in P.zza Sforzini (about 400m away). From the park, it is possible to reach the seafront via a pedestrian/cycle path of about 400 meters.
