The special location of these bedrooms, in a beautiful 14th century palace on Piazza della Cisterna, lets guests enjoy the lovely view of the Tuscan countryside and the charm of the medieval towers of San Gimignano. The three bedrooms, one from which to admire one of the most beautiful views of the wonderful Tuscan countryside, one with two pairs of double lancet windows of enchanting beauty overlooking Piazza della Cisterna and, finally, the third one, with the ancient fireplace, around which in the past sat the members of the "Tortoli" family, are decorated with antique furniture and have stone walls, wooden ceilings and Tuscan cotto floors. The bedrooms can accommodate 2 to 3 people with the addition of a bed, as they are very spacious. They have a fridge and ensuite bathroom with shower.
The particular location of this apartment, at the very top of the palace, lets guests enjoy the charming Tuscan countryside in all its colors and, at the same time, the charm of the towers and of the medieval town. In fact, while the two wonderful windows of the living room open onto the countryside, the bedrooms look out onto Piazza della Cisterna and the towers, which surround the palace. This apartment can accommodate from 2 to 4 people and has a large living room with fully equipped kitchen and a sofa bed, two double bedrooms and a bathroom with shower.
In late 1979, when San Gimignano was not yet a tourist destination for people from all over the world, I started renting out the Santa Fina apartment, which was the first and to which I am particularly attached, both because it has accompanied me for so many years, and because of the enchanting view from the large terrace.
Over time, I began renting out other rooms and apartments scattered throughout the historic center of the city. In 2000, together with my son Francesco, we inaugurated Palazzo Tortoli, a 14th-century palace located in the beautiful Piazza della Cisterna, a noble building of great architectural importance, featured in all the most important international guides. Finally, in 2002 we opened Podere Ponte a Nappo, a beautiful farmhouse with a recently restored pool, completely immersed in greenery. From here you can enjoy a splendid view of the Tuscan countryside and San Gimignano, located just in front of the farmhouse only 900 meters away and easily reachable on foot in 10 minutes.
Together with Andrea and Francesco, every year we host tourists from all over the world with whom we often engage in long conversations sitting in the garden or enjoying a glass of wine among the towers of San Gimignano.
