Palazzo del Poggiano

Our ancient residence, once owned by the Malatesta family, now houses two elegant suites, expertly restored while respecting their historical identity.

Palazzo del Poggiano is part of the ADSI - Italian Historic Houses Association. It still retains the characteristics of a noble residence, with its old kitchen, an oil mill, cellars, and a vast and well-kept park. Over the centuries, suggestive additions have been made, such as the small frescoed chapel dating back to the 19th century, and the seventeenth-century staircase leading to the courtyard and the main floor.

And it is precisely here that two suites full of history, memories, and beauty are now located. Their names pay homage to the oldest Malatesta property, but the atmosphere recalls that of noble residences from the last century.

- Sigismondo Suite: spacious and majestic, with a wonderful view of the Marecchia Valley and the surrounding olive grove park. It has a large private living room with a loft, a double bedroom, and a bathroom with a shower.

- Isotta Suite: elegant, intimate, and romantic, with a view of the park surrounding the palace and the Marecchia Valley up to the coast. It has a private living room, a bedroom with a French canopy bed, and a bathroom with a shower.

These suites have been carefully renovated in every detail, emanating the spirit of a bygone era, when hours passed slowly, marked by the surrounding nature, the rising and setting of the sun, the chirping of birds, the song of cicadas, and the rustle of the wind through the trees.

We offer our guests a rich breakfast, served in a dedicated room of the palace or, during beautiful summer days, in the wonderful courtyard at the top of the staircase.
