I grew up in this suburb in the 70s. During that time, we children still played in the street, specifically in Carpaneda, a destination for Sunday bike rides for the people from Vicenza who came from the city center to enjoy some tranquility and refresh themselves with the greenery.
Even today, entering Carpaneda, it seems that nothing has changed.
Perhaps it is precisely because of the proximity to the city center that one is surprised when, turning from Statale 11, one immerses oneself in this sort of "portal" (we like to call it that!). Suddenly the noises disappear and if we stop, get out of the car and listen carefully, it feels like we have entered a completely different dimension. The traffic a few meters behind seems a thousand miles away.
The love for this place, but also the desire to share the most beautiful things we have and the passion for travel, have driven us to embark on the adventure of a bed and breakfast. When we travel, we always prefer these more intimate accommodations. The warm welcome from the owners, the connection with the land we are in, which is immediately established thanks to direct contact with those who live there, and the possibility of feeling "at home" (in the most authentic and intimate sense of the word) even when we are far away, are characteristics that we can no longer do without. We enjoy meeting people from all over the world, people like us or people different from us, engaging in dialogue, and exchanging ideas. Traveling transcends the boundaries of the mind, and when we cannot do it, we thought it would be nice to find ourselves on the "other side."
Welcoming the world into our home, a bit like traveling in reverse! That's how our bed and breakfast was born. All our passions have come together here, in the house that Grandma Amelia, Aunt Margherita, and Uncle Luigino left us. We dedicate to them all the beauty we have experienced and that we hope to make our guests experience as well, with simplicity and warmth.
