Our B&B is located in a beautiful hilly area near the village of Gattaia, surrounded by the lush greenery of the stunning Mugello countryside. Just a 15-minute drive (8 km) away, you will find all the essential services, including supermarkets, a bakery, a pharmacy, a train station, a butcher, and a greengrocer. The position of our home, perched on a hill, provides a panoramic view of the valley, offering delightful glimpses of the towns of Vicchio, Molezzano, and Caselle in the distance.
The natural setting, wild and harmonious, is marked by an extensive network of hiking trails and opportunities to visit castles, museums, and villas, including the historic residences of the Medici family. The excellent local cuisine makes this area an ideal destination for your holidays. Being located within a hunting reserve, it is not uncommon, especially in spring and summer, to encounter deer, foxes, or wild boars. Birdwatching enthusiasts, equipped with a good camera and a bit of patience, can spot numerous species of native and migratory birds.
Antonella and Alessandro, who have lived here for many years, started this venture in 2007, driven by the desire to meet new people and share their lifestyle and traditions. By reservation, we offer tastings of wine and oil at local farms and cooking classes to introduce you to Mugello cuisine, renowned for potato tortelli, chestnut desserts, truffles, and saffron.
The B&B, situated at about 480 meters above sea level, enjoys a pleasant climate even during the hottest summer months. All rooms are air-conditioned, and we provide Wi-Fi access throughout the property, allowing you to easily plan your excursions or museum visits. A fully equipped kitchen is also available for preparing quick lunches or snacks to take on your nearby hiking adventures. For those interested, laundry services can be availed for a small extra charge; just ask the owners for more information.
