The Hotel More Di Cuna is located between Le More and Cuna in the Municipality of Monteroni D'Arbia, an area of medieval origin in the center of the Crete Senesi. Originally called "La Strada," it owes its name to its strategic position at the intersection of the Via Cassia, a historic Roman road, and the Via Francigena, an important medieval route from Canterbury to Rome. For over seven hundred years, the farm has supported the Santa Maria della Scala Hospital with its resources, which was intended to accommodate travelers and pilgrims.
Completely restored in 2006, the farmhouse preserves its historical essence with a respectful recovery of the elements that tell its story, combining the past with the present. Today, the MORE DI CUNA Hotel exhibits an austere and essential appearance, typical of the Middle Ages, and is surrounded by walls that hide, beyond an imposing wrought-iron gate, the main building and the rooms connected by large windows that offer a view of the exclusive garden, enriched by a nineteenth-century brick well and surrounded by large terraces overlooking the Tuscan hills.
