The Trulli and Cummerse, traditional houses in Locorotondo with sloping roofs, have been renovated and transformed into luxurious vacation homes. The house is situated down one of the most enchanting, peaceful and picturesque alleys in the historical centre. It can accommodate up to 3 guests, it is composed of an alcove bedroom, 2 bathrooms and a very spacious kitchen area. The house is located in the old town of Locorotondo and at the beginning of the XX century is was used to produce charcoal slack. It derived from almond hulls and small wood working scraps, that went through a pre-combustion phase. Then charcoal slack was put out in specially provided containers (called “fucagne”) and sold to the inhabitants of the old town in order to feed their warming pans. The house remained the same for several years, afterwards it was used to produce the lime, which was sold to whitewash the walls of the cummerse in the old town. Later it was transformed into a beautiful residence, taking care of preserving peculiar details of the structure such as star vaults and barrel vaults, solid wood frames and furnishings, the wrought iron winding staircase, that climbs up from the cellar (ancient well and water supply) to the kitchen.
Composed by a hall and a double room with an adjacent single room equipped with a kitchenette and a bathroom, this Trullo was named after a narrow pedestrian street running through the small valley in a suggestive panorama and leading to Locorotondo’s historical center in few minutes by foot.
Trullo Cinquenoci Suite is a small jewel located in the quiet countryside of Locorotondo, one of the Italy’s Most Beautiful Towns. The accommodation has a wonderful shared pool with salt water. Around the pool there is a terrace, equipped with sun loungers, that is the ideal place to relax and spend a pleasant holiday.
Trullo Panoramico: this Trullo is laid out over two floors. The ground floor is made up by a bedroom, a bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen with a spiral staircase leading up to the second floor, which includes a further bedroom and a bathroom. The upper room has a small terrace overlooking the beautiful panorama of the whole structure and the surrounding area as well. Each bedroom has a comfortable French bed for up to two people.
Trullo dell'Arco: Composed by a large living room with equipped kitchenette, two bedrooms and a large bathroom. Another bed for a fifth guest may be added in the living room on request. The access to the house, which has remained unchanged over time, is through a narrow stone path which also connects the property to the main road through an arc housing a wayside shrine.
It can accomodate up to 6 guests. It has 3 large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 living rooms and a kitchen area. Trullo Cinquenoci is located in a panoramic and quiet area, not far from the town center. Its name derives from “Cinquenoci” (literally “five walnut-trees”) district, an ancient place characterized by the presence of five huge walnut-trees, which bore the precious fruits, that the inhabitants of the surrounding area enjoyed. In the 90’s the Trullo was bought and restored by the current owners, great lovers of the typical Valle d’Itria dwellings. Trullo Cinquenoci is immersed in nature, just 2 Km from the center of Locorotondo, and offers you the possibility to live light-hearted and peaceful moments.
