Masseria Asteri B&B is an ancient farmhouse near Otranto, in Salento. The Masseria, dating back to 1800, is located in one of the most beautiful villages of Grecìa Salentina: Cannole. During the restoration, carried out with care and accuracy, we tried to preserve the rustic soul and essence, adapting it to today's standards and comforts.
The farmhouse consists of five elegant and independent suites. The two quadruple suites, Li Stricaturi and La Stalla, have a convenient kitchenette for the guests. The exterior is composed of a large garden, overlooking the Salento countryside, and a renovated sunbathing area with a family-friendly swimming pool. Here, you can fully relax with a good book or admire the fantastic sunsets over the Salento countryside.
Note: Small dogs are allowed with a cost of 40 euros per day, upon agreement with the property.
The property follows all health protection protocols and performs thorough cleaning with bactericidal and virucidal products after each guest change. Services offered include thorough room cleaning, pure cotton linens, minibar, on request Salento bio products package, airport transfer, and restaurant agreement.
The typical Italian breakfast is served in a cozy affiliated café located near the establishment. However, if you wish to immerse yourself in the magic of colors and aromas of aromatic plants, you can also enjoy it in the charming surrounding garden.
Double bedroom created in the ancient kitchen of the Masseria Asteri with a typical barrel vault. In the room you can admire the charming fireplace in Lecce stone. Following a careful restoration all the architectural features have been respected and enhanced. The beauty of this room completes the classic furnishings, made with poor materials, iron wood and the experience of skilled hands.
This room was born where there was the ancient hen house of the farm. Characteristic is the vault of the barrel type that rests on tufa walls in which are housed the ancient "stipi" (old deposits of tools) entirely excavated by hand. Very intimate and welcoming, the country chic soul combines essentiality with comfort and has direct access to the courtyard of the farm.
La Pajera suite is a comfortable, chabby-style room, set in the old manger of the farm. Visible masonry, and stones set by the expert hands of ancient craftsmen, enrich this wonder of rock architecture. The suite is sober and incredibly romantic, complete the Salentini furnishings. Ideal for living the real holiday in Salento. The room is equipped with air conditioning, free minibar for guests, LCD TV, private bathroom. King size double bed and sofa bed.
The suite li stricaturi has been created from the restoration of the ancient room where the housewife provided the housework. Very bright and welcoming, it has direct access to the inner courtyard of the farm; in addition to serving guests there is also a convenient kitchenette. It has three beds: a king size bed and an additional bed, ideal for groups of three / four people.
The room "La stalla " is obtained in the ancient fold of the farm. Here the farmer took care of the flock and dedicated himself to the processing and transformation of agricultural products. It is one of the most comfortable and luminous suites, refined and cared for in every detail. It consists of two rooms, both with direct access to the inner courtyard of the farm. In the second compartment there is also a comfortable kitchenette available for guests. It has four beds: a double bed, a sofa bed and additional bed on request.
