Agriturismo Masseria Aprile
Our family has owned the farmhouse since 1700, the year it was built. In 1992, together with my husband Antonio and our children Valerio and Stefania, we restored the farmhouse and started the Agriturismo.
The farmhouse is located within a 25-hectare agricultural estate and includes a spacious courtyard, green pastures surrounded by ancient woods, an olive grove, a vineyard, and seventeenth-century trulli, splendid examples of spontaneous architecture made with local stone.
In our farmhouse, you will also find a courtyard with chickens and roosters, and a small church where I celebrated my wedding. I live with my family in the old manor house, entirely built of stone. Our donkeys Sisina and Pina are an integral part of our family.
Our farm produces excellent extra virgin olive oil, obtained from the 400 trees of typical varieties from Puglia, such as Nociara, Leccina, Ogliarola, and the local Nozzarola. The olives are carefully harvested and taken to the mill within 24 hours, where they are traditionally cold-pressed to obtain a low acidity oil.
At our farmhouse, you can also purchase our typical products, including extra virgin olive oil, white wine, red wine, and preserves.
The start of the day is accompanied by a delightful breakfast, served in a charming stone cellar dating back to 1915 or on the splendid adjacent veranda, from which you can admire the breathtaking view of the village. The buffet offers a variety of tasty homemade products, including: traditional pastries and biscuits, freshly baked bread in a wood-fired oven, homemade butter and jams, yogurt and cereals, quality cold cuts (Martina Franca capocollo or salami) and cheeses, fresh tomatoes accompanied by salt and extra virgin olive oil, obtained from our own production. The beverages include orange juice and water, as well as a selection of seasonal fruits. For hot beverage lovers, tea, milk, coffee, and cappuccino are available, while for those who desire a protein option, we can provide fresh eggs from our own chickens upon request.

My name is Anna Maria Aprile and I am the owner of Masseria Aprile Agriturismo. I inherited this ancient Masseria from my father and my family has owned it since 1700, the year it was built. In 1992, together with my husband Antonio and my children Valerio and Stefania, we decided to completely renovate it, while keeping our traditions alive and following the ancient artisanal techniques passed down by local trullo masters. We have preserved the comfort and original features of the Masseria, as well as its cultural ideology, so that we can personally experience the magical atmosphere of this fascinating place.
