The bed & breakfast is located in an ancient fortified estate from the 1700s, with 12 underground warehouses (hypogea), a short distance from the beautiful beaches and most picturesque places of Salento. The Masseria is situated in the countryside, just outside Minervino di Lecce (reachable on foot in just 5 minutes), 7 km from the sea and only 15 minutes from Otranto. The structure, which covers about 1000 square meters and has large walls and a spacious inner courtyard, takes its name from its 12 underground granaries, carved into the rock. During the restoration in 2008, we preserved the original materials and style, with particular attention to energy saving and the use of renewable sources (solar energy through photovoltaic panels, water from artesian wells). The Masseria has spacious communal areas. There is a large dining room, where breakfast is served, and a room with a fireplace, ideal for socializing with other guests, reading, playing music, and games (by the way, we are bridge enthusiasts). The large outdoor courtyard with the well is the perfect place to relax and have fun, while the spacious terrace offers the best view of the starry sky. In the garden, there is a fully equipped communal kitchen, for preparing hot dishes or sharing a meal with other guests. Additionally, next to the bougainvillea, there is a small pool, also suitable for children. The spacious rooms, two-story lofts, and the Masseria's cottage offer a private area in the garden, Wi-Fi connection, and air conditioning. The rooms overlook the garden and have a private patio. They can be equipped with two single beds or a double bed, with the possibility of adding a third bed. Each room has a private bathroom, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi connection. The lofts consist of two rooms: one on the ground floor with 2-3 beds and the other on the first floor with a double bed. The rooms are connected by an internal staircase and each has its own bathroom. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning and free Wi-Fi. The independent cottage, on two floors connected by an internal staircase, consists of two rooms, each with a private bathroom, a spacious kitchen, a terrace, and a furnished private outdoor area with a table, chairs, and barbecue. All rooms are equipped with free Wi-Fi and air conditioning. Please note that the rental of the cottage does not include breakfast, which is exclusively reserved for guests who do not have a kitchen.
