Our structure, located at Via Casale n. 59, is situated in the heart of Matera, exactly halfway between Sasso Barisano and Sasso Caveoso. Close to us, you will find the Matera 2019 Citizen Committee and the striking Madonna delle Virtù Rock Church. From the windows and terrace of the vacation home, you can admire the splendid view of the ravine with its enchanting rock churches, the Church of San Pietro Barisano and the Church of Sant'Agostino. As we are in a Restricted Traffic Zone (ZTL), please kindly leave your car just outside the ZTL area, in one of the public parking lots located about 3/400 meters from the structure, such as Via Piave, Via S. Cesarea, Via Pentassuglia, or Via Gattini. Alternatively, you can use the nearby paid parking lots, such as Via Saragat or Fornaci. Our privileged location allows you to comfortably reach all the main tourist attractions of the city on foot, such as San Pietro Barisano, San Pietro Caveoso, the numerous rock churches of the Sassi quarters, the MUSMA Museum, the Romanesque, Renaissance, and Baroque churches of the plain, the Ridola National Museum, Palazzo Lanfranchi, home to the Medieval and Modern Art Museum, the historic buildings of Santa Lucia al Piano and dell'Annunziata in Piazza Vittorio Veneto, the Cathedral, and the Tramontano Castle.
