Since 2015, Lilliput has welcomed travelers to a place that feels like it’s been pulled from a fairy tale, with many guests recalling it as “the house of stories.” Every detail has been designed to convey intimacy and tranquility, providing a refuge to rediscover balance and harmony. The vintage-style decor evokes the warmth of simple and authentic things. The cozy spaces naturally transform: during the day, they become small, welcoming lounges, and at night, they turn into comfortable rooms suitable for extended stays. The fiber-optic Wi-Fi ensures convenience for those wishing to work or stay connected.

The property features three rooms, two on the ground floor and one in the attic, each with its own entrance, private bathroom, and kitchen access. The triple room also includes a single bed and a crib for children up to three years old; upon request, a double sofa bed is available in the living room. For long stays, there is a cleaning fee of €50. In the garden lives Rex, a friendly Labrador who does not enter guest areas but happily greets animal lovers. The house has some steps and charges a tourist tax of €1 per person per night for up to seven nights annually.

During the summer, Varese and its surroundings offer a rich calendar of events and activities: strolls along Lake Schiranna, outdoor cinema, gastronomic tours with "Varese Itinerari di Gusto," musical evenings at the Tra-Monti Festival, concerts, and picnics organized by FAI in historic gardens, the Lunghnasad Festival dedicated to Celtic culture, and the "Il Lago Cromatico" showcase that brings art and music to the lakeside. A personalized video memory can be provided upon request, allowing guests to take home a unique piece of their vacation.

The semi-central location is perfect for getting around on foot or by public transport: nearby are train and bus stations, supermarkets, shops, bakeries, patisseries, pharmacies, bars, and convenient access to the highway. Del Ponte and Circolo Macchi hospitals are located 150 and 450 meters away, respectively, making the property suitable for those staying for health reasons. A few kilometers away, you can reach Lake Varese with its 37 km cycling path, the UNESCO World Heritage Site Sacro Monte, and the Campo dei Fiori Park with its trails. Lake Maggiore, with its islands and historic villas, along with artistic villages like Arcumeggia, Castiglione Olona, and Santa Maria del Monte invite you to explore glimpses of authentic history. It’s also easy to reach Switzerland, including Lugano and the Canton of Ticino, with picturesque markets, alpine lakes, and elegant atmospheres. Art lovers will find FAI villas in the area, such as Villa Panza, Villa Della Porta Bozzolo, and Casa Macchi, where time seems to slow down.

Lilliput is run by Maura, a lively and sociable host who is also thoughtful and profound. A psychotherapist specializing in clinical hypnosis, she has a passion for painting, cooking, cinema, and creating videos and photo books to preserve precious memories. She loves nature and animals, and her Labrador Rex is her life companion. For Maura, hosting means providing authentic hospitality filled with sincere smiles and attention to detail, with a romantic touch and a country style. A perfectionist by nature, she is inspired by the words of Gustav Jung: “A whole man is one who has walked with God and fought with the devil,” a motto that reflects her way of living and welcoming guests.
