In the heart of Barbarano del Capo, overlooking the main square of the village and just a few kilometers from the beaches of Leuca and Pescoluse, Le Vore B&B welcomes guests in a historic residence with genuine charm. The building, dating back to 1929, still retains its ancient star-shaped vaults and tells a long story that has its roots in the 19th century, when the spaces now used for living were once a tobacco warehouse, later becoming a bakery and an oil mill. It wasn't until the 20th century that the structure was transformed into a home, and in 2019 it opened as a cozy bed and breakfast.
The B&B features three comfortable and well-appointed rooms, each with a private bathroom (except for one option with two double beds and a shared bathroom), totaling eight sleeping arrangements. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, TV, and linens, with the largest room capable of accommodating an extra cot. Guests can enjoy a pleasant stay enhanced by a communal area on the ground floor, designed for relaxation.
Breakfast, served at a nearby café, offers authentic flavors from the past: homemade pastries, artisanal jams, frise (toasted bread), pucce (local bread), and traditional cucuzzate, all made with local and organic ingredients. Every morning is a small journey into the culinary traditions of Salento.
The location of the B&B allows for easy exploration of the village and its surroundings. Barbarano del Capo is known for its two natural sinkholes, the “Vora grande” and the “Vora piccola,” as well as the Sanctuary of Leuca Piccola, a spiritually significant place of worship. Free parking is available outside the property, along with complimentary Wi-Fi and the option to participate in guided tours, making this B&B a promise of not just hospitality, but a true return to the simplicity and warmth of bygone atmospheres.
