B&B Le Cloux
Welcome to our little paradise. We are located in the Aosta Valley, in La Thuile, a charming mountain village at an altitude of 1,441 meters. Here you will find yourself surrounded by the majestic peaks of Mont Blanc and the Ruitor massif, with its glacier overlooking the village. This place offers splendid, lush, and wild nature, where the dazzling white of the peaks, the cobalt blue of the sky, and the intense green of the meadows create extraordinary color contrasts. Snow is present for at least 5 months a year, and the international Espace San Bernardo ski area, with its 150 kilometers of slopes stretching between Italy and France, fascinates skiers from all over the world. During the summer, this area transforms into a large bike park with a wide network of trails, perfect for mountain bike enthusiasts, but also for those who love hiking or simply strolling.
We are located in the sunny and peaceful hamlet of Thovex, a short distance from the center of La Thuile and very close to the shuttle bus stop that will take you to the Piccolo San Bernardo cable cars. We welcome you in a typical mountain building dating back to 1850, which we have restored respecting its history, and where ancient beliefs and objects from the past testify to our passions and the unchanged traditions of this area. Our B&B offers a familiar and informal atmosphere because we believe it is the best way to make you experience a truly relaxing vacation. Simple and special, just like being at home.
Our three rooms are furnished in a typical mountain style, with wooden walls and stone details. Spacious and comfortable, they have a private bathroom, Wi-Fi connection, and television. Bed linen is changed every three days. Guests can enjoy the outdoor Finnish sauna for moments of authentic relaxation, while children have a playground in our large garden. We have private parking for cars and a covered garage for motorcycles and bicycles, equipped with a pump for washing mountain bikes.
Our structure offers four apartments. Ideal for families, our accommodations, separate and independent, are equipped with every comfort for your maximum comfort.
All guests can enjoy the outdoor Finnish sauna for moments of true well-being, while children have a playground in our large garden. Private parking for cars and a covered garage for motorcycles and bicycles with a pump for washing MTBs are available.
What would a vacation be without a delicious breakfast? A rich buffet awaits you with typical products from our enchanting valley, directly from local businesses. You can enjoy fresh yogurt and milk, fruit juices, croissants, fragrant bread, homemade cakes and jams, a fresh fruit salad, Fontina cheese, and typical cured meats from our region. Breakfast is served in a spacious room, equipped with a dedicated area for relaxation and conversation.
We proudly call our beloved establishment "Osteria Gran Ru". We strongly wanted it to be an integral part of our structure, to provide a service to our guests throughout the year and be a reference point for tourists and local residents, for aperitifs, lunches and dinners.
Gran Ru, named after the stream that once flowed beneath the structure, is a small and characteristic venue, with stone walls and exposed wooden ceilings, rescued from oblivion and the passage of time and now with a new soul.
We only have 20 seats to give you all our attention and allow you to experience a convivial moment in the utmost relaxation. In addition to this indoor space, there is an outdoor area, usually used for aperitifs, equipped with mushrooms to keep you warm during the colder days.
Our cuisine is sincere. Simple but carefully crafted gastronomic proposals, with carefully selected ingredients, prioritizing local products and respecting the seasonality of raw materials. In the kitchen, Paola shares her experiences, her roots, and her passion for the mountains through a culinary proposal with a familiar touch.
We accompany our dishes with a selection of wines that exclusively includes labels from the Aosta Valley and a wide choice of Italian and foreign beers, including many craft beers produced by small breweries in our region.
