The Torretta is a charming country residence located on the shores of Lake Maggiore. Set in a stunning garden and natural orchard, inspired by the techniques of Masanobu Fukuoka, this house offers its guests three spacious and panoramic accommodations with a view of the lake. Located on the hills of Lesa overlooking Lake Maggiore, in 1542 "La Torretta" was built, previously known as "al castèl". Originally, it was a "small house with a residence" and later became a lookout tower with a dovecote. It is said that someone (perhaps the soldier Pietro, as evidenced by a fresco on a wall of the house) carefully observed the vast stretch of the lake to monitor commercial traffic. From here, it is said that they would send messages with carrier pigeons to the nearest customs office to collect duty on goods.
Thanks to its excellent exposure to the sun, La Torretta enjoys an enviable microclimate. Surrounded by the hills of Vergante, already in the 18th century, it was a highly appreciated destination for vacations, thanks to its proximity to the lake, green hills, and orchards.
Today, after being renovated and expanded, La Torretta has become the home of Sara and Massimo, warmly welcoming their esteemed guests.
"La Torretta" is located on the Piedmontese side of Lake Maggiore, in the municipality of Lesa (between Meina and Belgirate), along the road to Comnago 61, nestled in the green hills in front, offering a delightful view of the lake.

Situated in the center of an easily accessible area, less than an hour from Milan and just over an hour from Turin or Switzerland, the following places of great interest can be reached in no more than 15 minutes by car:
• Stresa and the Borromeo Gulf (with Isola Madre, Isola Bella, Isola dei Pescatori)
• Mount Mottarone, with its forests, breathtaking views of the surrounding lakes, and winter ski facilities.
