Pescocostanzo is a hidden treasure among the small Italian settlements, an ancient village that is an excellent example of the preservation of civil and religious architecture.
During a late November weekend, when a coat in the city is out of place, the desire to leave behind humidity and smog and not fulfill it would be a real shame.. So, organizing with two cars, a few couples of friends, and enough supplies to snack in front of a warm fireplace seems like the best premise for a couple of days of absolute well-being.
Heading towards Abruzzo: after exploring the surroundings extensively, our choice falls on a really nice little place, less crowded by mass tourism compared to neighboring towns, Pescocostanzo.
This picturesque medieval village discreetly overlooks the heart of a vast and silent valley, surrounded by the imposing mountains of the Maiella that seem to protect its center.
Walking through the streets of Pescocostanzo becomes a continuous discovery of the thousand extraordinary faces of this small town, rich in history and culture.
